Description
Augmented Plum Pit Qi is based on the classical Pinellia and Magnolia Bark Decoction (Ban Xia Hou Po Tang) from the Jin Gui Yao Lue, with five additional herbs that enhance its ability to move Liver Qi stagnation. The formula name traditionally refers to the sensation of a plum pit stuck in the throat that cannot be cleared or swallowed. This formula addresses patterns where Qi stagnation and Phlegm formation mutually reinforce each other, creating obstruction in the normal downward movement of Lung and Stomach Qi.
