These four ingredients, Huang Lian, Huang Qin, Huang Bai, and Da Huang are all bitter and cold in flavor and nature and clear heat and drain fire in function. Si Huang Gao is an old and famous Chinese herbal topical application for the treatment of hot toxic skin lesions. Instructions: Apply to non-weeping, red, raised, hot-to-the-touch skin lesions several times per day, covering if necessary with a dressing.

Ingredients: Vegetable Oil Blend, Beeswax, Rhizoma Coptidis Chinensis, Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis, Radix Et Rhizoma Rhei, Cortex Phellodendri Contraindications: Do not use for wet, weeping skin lesions, such as poison ivy and impetigo. In that case, oil-based external applications are generally contraindicated since they trap and increase damp turbid evils.
